The Grand Illusion

The Grand Illusion was a daily performance where the rhythms of labor, art and magic overlapped. Exhibition guards from the Biennale were trained by a professional magician to perform a magical trick. Each day, at a time of their choosing, a guard swapped their biennale uniform for a magician’s costume and performed an unexpected act of magic.
