Endless Column

A familiar part of the street infrastructure in Germany; a concrete advertising column designed to be pasted with large format posters. On the hidden rear side of this column is housed another important public service; a locked metal door that provides access to the ventilation system of the Hamburg Water Works.
The hidden side of the column was photographed in high resolution and this file was turned into a lifesize poster that was pasted onto the front, creating an “endless column” when circled.
